Prince of Peace - led by a team of Elders
Elders are considered Pastors at Prince of Peace. Currently both Ken and Shelley serve as full time staff, along with the help of other capable Elders listed to the right. Ken & Shelley Sowers have been a team serving God for over 35 years. They married as high school sweethearts in 1975 and served as lay leaders in church from the start. In the fall of 1991, they felt a call by God to plant a church in Mentor. Ken left his teaching career at Madison in 2005 to devote his full energies to Prince of Peace. Ken is involved in developing leaders and preaching, guiding the church as lead pastor. Shelley serves full time on staff as an Elder specializing in worship and administrative support for the church. She is passionate about her gifts of teaching, outreach, music and organization. Shelley is a graduate of Lake Erie College with a degree in Elementary Education.
