Prince of Peace Mentor began in 1991 at Garfield Park in Mentor, From the beginning we have wanted to start new churches. Our first church was planted in 2005 in Painesville. In 2012 we hired a New Works Pastor - Scott Honess - to help us launch new churches and new ministries. We celebrated the Commissioning of the missionary team to Chester on October 20th, 2013. The work of renovating the building required us to replace much of the roof, the siding, most of the windows, flooring and the heating system. Our goal was to restore the building to its role as a place of service and worship as it was intended almost 40 years ago. In February 2013 Prince of Peace acquired this building at 9319 Mayfield Rd. in Chesterland with the intention of restoring it to it's original purpose of being an outpost of the Kingdom of God in Chesterland. Time, bugs and vandals had taken their toll, but the Lord gave us the chance to refresh and renew the building so that it can once more shine as a place to Love God and Bless People!

The first of January we publicly opened the Chester Mission Center - CMC - to the community as a place of blessing. We are so very grateful to the faith communities of Trinity United Methodist and New Freedom Ministries for their devotion and care for this building before it came to our stewardship.
